Harrop-Procter Today

The Harrop-Procter village shoreline, with the community watershed drainage in the background.

The Harrop-Procter Community Co-op is located in the Old Procter Schoolhouse, one of three heritage buidlings, in the heart of Procter's bustling 'one block long downtown'.

HPCC shares the schoolhouse with a bake shop, community library, chiropractic office and hair salon, making it a part of the community's centre of activity, along with our Seniors’ Coffee Club.

Despite it's remote location (about 45 minutes from Nelson, the closest major centre) visitors from around the globe are often found in and around the schoolhouse.

During a typical week, for instance, you may meet some visiting Russian botanists, a university research student, or a local reporter. Perhaps you might have coffee with a local developer, business owner or a logger in to sign his contract.

Visitor Hours
